Rev. Roy Dobyns joined our family here at First Baptist on September 8th,2009. He has degrees from Carson Newman College in Tennessee and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to coming to Boone he was the Minister of Students at FBC Asheville for 6 years, and before that served as Associate Pastor at Wilkesboro Baptist Church for 16 years. | Ms. Faye has been the organist at First Baptist since 1984. In 2009 she celebrated her 25th year here. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Appalachian State University, she is certified by Kindermusik International . In addition to being the organist at First Baptist Ms. Faye has a love for children and desire for them to have a good beginning in music. Ms. Faye founded Kindermusik of Boone in 1989. In addition, she teaches private piano lessons to music lovers throughout the high country. | ||||

| Elizabeth is entering Graduate School at ASU this coming fall in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She attended both UNC and ASU for undergrad in Communication Disorders and Multicultural Studies with a focus in Spanish. She is from Statesville, NC, where she served as the Children's Ministry Summer Intern at her home church of First Baptist Statesville. She loves working with young people! She was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ in college, and enjoys reading, hiking, the outdoors, and cats! She also works part-time at the Watauga Humane Society. She joined the staff of FBC Boone in May 2010. | ||||
